Norfolk Academy will be hosting a fund raising event on Sunday April 19th beginning at 2PM in the new gymnasium. This is to benefit the UpCenter (formerly Child and Family Services of Virginia) a social services non-profit agency. A portion of the funds also go to support NA rowing. The UpCenter is involved in a broad array of safety net activities including family counseling, TeamUp (previously Big Brother/Big Sister), group housing for the disabled, crisis mental health and may others. Information is on their web site at www.upcenter.org. This is also a good chance for the team to show off their erg prowess.
Year of the Cox
As you may know, on January 26 begins the year 4707 in the Chinese Calendar, the year of the Ox. Parallel to this, as we start NA Rowing year 12, we can denote this the year of the Cox!

Welcome to Norfolk Academy Rowing!
Norfolk Academy Rowing will open its 2009 season on Tuesday February 24th with first day of practice at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. Earlier in February we will have a rowing orientation meeting for all rowers and their parents. This includes potential and interested rowers. Watch for announcement of the time and date!
